Summer Concert Series

Please check back for our 2009 concert, We look Forward to Another Great Year!

August 1
(suggested admission is $12)

The Dust Devils (8pm)

Kevin Higgins & Barbara Malteze need no introduction to these parts, as plenty a stormchaser resides in Kerr county.  Besides being two of the warmest, friendliest folks you'll ever encounter, they are some of the finest performers around.  Kevin's thoughtful lyrics pitted with Barbara's strong vocals, and the conviction with which the duo (or full band) delivers each song makes them one of the best live bands around.  Depending on whether it's a Higgins' ballad, an anthem like Dust Devil original, or good old rocking cover tune, you will either be sitting, quietly listening, or racing for the dance floor.

See ya there!  www.thedustdevils.org

The McKay Brothers (8pm)

Being brothers of 30+ years might have something to do with the synergy of in sync arrangements and tight vocal harmonies that have become signature for Noel & Holin McKay.  Having grown up less than 30 miles south of here in Bandera explains the familiar themes, often laced through their finely crafted songs.  Their tunes create characters and tell stories we can either relate to or dream about.  Whether folk, country, blues, roots... it's all there in a unique sound that transcends genre.

This will be a great show!    www.mckaybrothers.com

The Hudsons (8pm)

Not brothers, Brian Hudson and Hudson Mueller are two bad ass singer songwriters growing in the fertile creative environment that is Austin, Texas.  Defined by incredibly intricate songwriting with an eclectic delivery, with hints of folk, blues, swing, and their own neoteric, self dubbed

FRAP music, they have been recognized as the "Best Folk Band" in Austin by the Austin Music Awards.

This should tell you just how revered these guys are.  You won't want to miss this show and don't forget your mother's wallet, ‘cause you're going to want to take some of their music home with you.  www.thehudsonsmusic.habear.com
