Looking for a unique outdoor wedding venue in the Texas Hill Country? Roddy Tree Ranch located in the heart of central Texas in the Kerrville-Hunt area, could be your wedding destination.
Keith and Gretchen Asbury have 15 years of experience coordinating weddings and receptions of all kinds, and our packages help make planning the details of your special day much easier. There are two outdoor areas specifically used for weddings. Under the tall cypress trees of the Guadalupe River, there is an old vintage white wrought iron arch imbued with hearts that makes a perfect backdrop for a late afternoon or early evening wedding. My father Jim built a reflection pond in the back of the property for my mother Helen as a token of true love on her birthday. The pond is surrounded by rock and a cascading waterfall across from the elegant traditional gazebo decorated with white twinkle lights with a rock sidewalk on either side. Directly across from the old vintage windmill, 200 hundred people easily can be seated. The covered outdoor pavilion makes a beautiful twilight setting for the reception, with a stage, jukebox, bar, full kitchen and seating for up to 200 people. The pavilion can be decorated as rustic or elegant or a combination of both.
The following quote is representative of one family’s wedding experience at Roddy Tree
Roddy Tree Ranch "is a special place for my family. Not only is it one of the most welcoming and comfortable places I’ve ever stayed, in September 2001 my husband Kent and I were married on the banks of the Guadalupe. We had our reception in the pavilion with guests from ages 2 to 90 dancing to the River Rats, the hip house band we hired as part of the Texas Hill Country wedding package. Because all our family and most of our friends stayed there at the ranch for the whole weekend they got to know each other and build relationships… everything about the weekend was easy, good and lovely; the food, the music, the setting. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding spot. I can say without a moment of hesitation that it was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. It was so perfect that when our daughter got married 8 years later, Roddy Tree Ranch was her dream wedding venue as well. Her Texas Hill Country Wedding at Roddy Tree Ranch was as beautiful and fun as ours was. So at this point, Roddy Tree isn’t just a great place to stay- it is now a family tradition."
